More than half of what we throw away can be recycled. Recycling should be a part of our daily routines to help conserve landfill space, preserve natural resources, and control rising waste disposal costs.

Avoid Plastic Bags
Do not contaminate your green waste cart by placing green waste into plastic bags. The plastic cannot be broken down in the compost or mulching process. So place green waste directly into the cart.
Christmas Tree Recycling
Once a year (typically the week after New Years) there will be a special pick up of Christmas trees directly from your home. We ask that you simply place your tree at the curb by 6am on your regular scheduled pick up day during the specified week. Trees over 6 feet tall must be cut in half.
Items to Be Removed
No artificial trees will be accepted.
Keep and eye out in your November/December solid waste bill for the Re-Pete Newsletter for the pick-up dates and any further details.
